Clash of the Titans, one of my favorite movies from the 80s, has its remake coming out Friday. Looks pretty good from the previews. Its not alone. So far the following movies are slanted for remake in order to "reboot" the franchises:

Karate Kid (Looks good)
Tron: Legacy
Red Dawn (Liked the original, this time there will be Chinese invading)
Predators (A sequel to the original Predator, named Predators like how Aliens was the sequel to Alien)
Nightmare on Elm Street (Theres actually going to be 3 new ones coming out)

Or, you could be critical and change the topic to Hollywood; running out of ideas.

Meh, I can't really blame them for rehashing stuff. The people who grew up watching these movies and loving them are now calling the shots or pitching the ideas for the remakes.

I dont know about the Predators and NOES since there have been so many already.

There is no way they should have touched the Karate Kid. Mr. Myiagi is one of the greatest played characters of all time.

Also, you will never overcome the lack a cheesy 80s music that made the original Karate Kid great.

Also, there will never be another Billy Zabka, one of the greatest 80s villians of all time.
