A day or so ago (I was out of town, wife reported problem and now I've seen it) Firefox started crashing every time I try to play a youtube vid. Haven't really checked it against other types. When I try to update the Flash Player in Firefox, it just doesn't happen. I click on the "Install" link and nothing, at least as far as I can tell. I've added www.adobe.com to the list of "allow popups" sites and still nothing,
I update Firefox but that didn't help. So its Firefox 3.6 on Win7 and trying to install Flash Player 10.0.45.2.
Anybody else having any issues with this? Found a solution?

I use Google Chrome, mostly, and Internet Exploder when something doesn't run on Chrome. Haven't used FF in a while. Sorry. I know I've been of no help.

Wally, friend of mine used Firefox all the time and said his latest update started having all kinds of problems also. He switched to Google Chrome and said he wished he had switched long before. Loves Chrome in comparison. Like Raul said, there are still some random things on some sites that require IE8, but not many.
FF here and havent had any problems.

Yeah, I'm using FF on my laptop (which is where I am now) and no problems. FF3.5.8, Vista 64 bit. Hmmm I see no reference to the Flash Player in any setting in this copy of FF. Shockwave is in there in the plugins, but not the Flash Player. BUT if I right click on a video at Youtube, I get a Flash Player menu. What does all this mean?

Same here, FF + W7 Ult x64, no issues thus far. If you haven't, might want to backup your bookmarks and then uninstall, reboot, reinstall FF and see if that helps

I eventually found a different link to the player install which worked. Dug it up in an article at cnet. It was at Adobe's website but they're links are broken and will never take you there. Anyway, all upgraded and working now. This probably happened when I updated Firefox to 3.6 which was apparently incompatible with the previous Flashplayer, and Adobe's website is screwed up. They have special instructions for firefox but when you click the link it takes you to a page about installing the pdf reader, which I don't use.

I've got chrome but haven't found anything about it to make it worth the switch.
