Some of us are taking the bikes to work on launches as well as just play around and run some grudge matches. $20 to race, $10 to get in. Gates open at 6, racing starts at 6:30.

I'm taking the 6, 10 and busa. Wonder which one I'll do the best on. Gotta switch the busa to GP shift or else things might go badly. Mounting takeoffs tonight!!!

Do you know if they require full leathers to run up there?

They're an NHRA track so I would assume their T&T nights apply the same rules. If so, I think it's 120mph requires full leathers, which most bikes would fit into this category. I am not sure on the speed requirements for lanyard cutoff switches. The big boys need the Full License at 9's I assume, if it's the same for cars.

You guys should have come out. Last night was a freaking blast. I got the 750 down to a 10.74 @134 for m best run of the night. Some guys were there on some ZX-14's running in the 9's!

You couldn't pay me to race a bike in anything else. Good set of leathers, boots and a good lid is worth its weight in gold.

My recipe was a solid burnout on soft N-tek's and a hard launch. My reaction times were .45-.68 so I'm relatively slow on the tree. I'm letting it go at 11 to 12k at the line and feathering the clutch to keep it from looping me through 1st and 2nd , then hammering it through the gears with the quick shifter until the finish. I weigh 175 with all my gear on, so I'm a small guy.

The rules were, with full leathers and boots, you can't go faster then 10 seconds or 135mph without needing an NHRA license. You get 2 warnings before they kick you out.

Also, got to have a tail light so they can see if you are on track or not. We taped flashlights to the reartail. Don't use duct tape as it pulled my new paint right off!!!! :( Lorne, I need help!

Need to have atleast a half chain guard as well. They don't want your leg getting cut off. Strange that they require that but wera doesn't? Guess our boots prevent that?

My best was a 10.8 with a reaction of .45 on the zx10 and 11.6 on the zx6. Only ran the 6 a couple times. Stock gearing on the 10 is 17/40...gearing it had on it was 14/42! Lets just say I saw a lot of sky! So bad that I let dickiedoo beat me 2 out of 3 times!!! It will be right next time though!!!! Won't be letting the lawn dart beat me again!!! My goal is to get kicked out for going too fast!!!

Left there and pulled in at road atlanta for a nesba trackday on saturday. Wow, attitude there hasn't changed a bit!!! Some guy was a dickhead/smart a$$ because I wanted to get bumped out of beginner group. Only rode with nesba 2 times when I first started trackdays and decided they were jerks. Wanted to try them again and get some seat time on the 10 and low and behold, no difference. Except for 2 CR's that were very nice. The others thought they were better then everyone and snickered at me wanting a bump to atleast intermediate due to race experience. Gee I love STT.

So after explaining to one CR that I was rolling with a particular CR and wanted him to bump me, he exclaims "you must be ready to race AMA if you were running with him"....sarcastically of course. Then adds that "you were only close to him because he let you".... wtf ever! Their times of 1:36 with new 12 and no chicane were not impressing me. Kinda made me proud when after getting bumped to Intermediate group, I rode one session that I didn't even finish due to the bike shutting off and another CR came and hunted me down to bump me to Advance group. Hix and Dennis, you guys rock if you're out there. Todd(nesba todd), you're a dick... rant over. nothing to see here folks...
