My company is currently recruiting for 3-4 technical writers to add to our team. These positions can be based in our Atlanta, GA and / or Augusta, GA offices. Only local candidates will be considered.

Technical writers are responsible for generating technical documentation for power generation, petrochemical and other heavy industrial applications. The Technical Writer will be expected to research, organize and produce professional technical documents that are used in the field to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, program, build or repair equipment and systems that are highly complex. Qualified candidates will have five years of experience working professionally in heavy industry with two years experience as a technical writer for any applicable industrial application. Attention to detail, strong written communications skills and word processing skills are essential for the successful candidate. Position are contract and length will vary depending on project (6-12 months).

Yule wood think that everyone nose bike riding is tuff. I no something that will make ewe week in the knees. What dew you due if you sea a mail bare role across the rode in front of yore tyre? Due you apply break? Give it gas? I dote no. But, yule won't be board any longer when you see the sighs of the bare's feat roleing over and over leaving spots of fir oar hare in yore path. Eye no it will make yore genes as hard as a bored cents you think you mite get throne off yore bike. Especially if its reigning. Eye can sea weave been down this path butt I ain't going their because I was taut better.

Technical Writer
Reports To:
Director of Document Development and Training
Location:
Marietta, GA

Position Summary:

Overall responsibility for coordinating technical document preparation for individual project. Position coordinates and tracks all document preparation for an individual project to ensure timely submittals. The position assigns and monitors internal and external technical writers to ensure quality document preparation. Perform reviews and modifications to technical documents prior to submission to client. Position also has secondary responsibility to assist department on an overflow basis for project support.

Responsibilities:
• Technical Writing
• Lead in the development of and/or develop technical documentation per the clients’ requests, to include but not be limited to operating procedures or training documents.
• Verify and validate documentation as required.
• Research topics, including gathering and sorting source and background materials; consults with various personnel to verify details of source materials; provides statistical analysis of data as required.
• Participate in the writing of technical documents, training manuals, operating procedures, technical specifications and reviewing engineering documents and drawings.
• Plan layout of work, arranging sequence of topics and placement of graphics as applicable.
• May electronically upload publications and download data for analysis.
• May coordinate related department activities such as hard copy production of documents, preparing agendas and maintaining files.
• May work with Subject Matter Experts.
• Position is familiar with, and is able to navigate and create technical libraries for each project as necessary.
Qualifications:

Educational and/or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, technical drawings, data charts, flow charts, or organizational documents. Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and assist in producing procedure manuals. Must have the ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft software programs i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Internet software and other Microsoft Office software product skills are required on a regular basis.

Working Conditions:
The required duties and responsibilities are performed in an office. The position generally involves sitting; standing, occasional walking; moderate lifting and carrying and operation of office equipment.

The environmental conditions generally include ambient inside temperature and lighting levels.
