Can any of you guys recommend a place to get some good range ammo for either a 9mm or .40?

Wal-Mart will pretty much always be the lowest price (Federal) next to loading your own. Adventure Outdoors in Marietta has good prices if you're ever out that way, but savings would be lost on gas if that was your only reason for going out that far.

Wal-Mart sold federal fmj 9mm is reliable and one of the cheaper range ammo's available. Otherwise I'd say this is also pretty good (the site also is good and I've always had a positive experience ordering from them) http://www.sgammo.com/product/sellier-bellot/1000rds-9mm-luger-sellier-bellot-115-grain-fmj-brass-case-ammo

No clue man, I got some .40 JHP (and .22LR FMJ) from Wally World a month or so back.

Some don't, but the majority of them do. I know for a fact that the ones on Pleasant Hill and the one in Chamblee don't.

I want to say a box of 9mm 100 winchester FMJ target loads was $23 at Wally World a week or two back.
This was the one on Windward Pkwy.

Federal in 9mm is $10.99 per box (50). If you can ever find it, they sell bulk boxes (100) for 19.99
Georgia Arms (http://georgia-arms.com) does 1000 round bulk packs for around $250. Not quite as cheap as Wally World, but close.

I'm sure once you pay shipping, that's pretty close to range prices.

Shipping? Color me confused. I drive over and pick it up.

Makes sense. I think gas from Duluth to Villa Rica would make the drive pointless for him though.

I saw Federal .40 today at Wal-Mart for 16.97. It used to be 13.97 when they had Blazer Brass, but I haven't seen that brand in there for awhile now.

go up to the 400 jewelry and pawn at 400 and 53. was in there yesterday and they had a bunch of 1k round boxes of ammo. seems I saw 9mm for about $180, they have 40, 45, 38, 308, 223, etc. or give them a call and see if they have what you want.
for lower amounts, try walmarts.

Never been there. They have bulk .45 for a decent price?

400 jewelry and pawn? yes. if you haven't been there, you owe it to yourself to go check it out. one of the best gun shops IMHO in the Atlanta area (if you can consider it ATL area). Their inventory is a bit thin right now (SHOT show just finished, and they are moving locations in the near future) but still, very knowledgeable folks in there, and a great inventory of tactical stuff, as well as hunting and other stuff. Lots and lots of high end AR's, suppressors, Sigs, FN's, Glocks, Trijicon, NF, Leupold, etc. Gun person candy store.

Ammoman.com is where I get my rifle ammo from. I haven't bought off the shelf pistol ammo in years since I reload for that.

I like 400 G&P for a local gun store too. Most of the ammo stuff they sell in bulk is .223/5.56 PMC and 9mm. I don't see much .40 or .45. They do have it sometimes though. I don't buy "off the shelf" much because I shoot about 1000-1500 rds/month combined of 9mm, 5.56, and .45. I don't have a .40. Easier to get it shipped straight to me. Locally you pay taxes on it so shipping/taxes washes out if you shop shipping prices. I do buy .22 LR at Wally World since it's so cheap.
Jeff, we may shoot tomorrow at SRGC in the am if you want to go.....
