Wanted - used cruiser for around $2500

Needs to be in good mechanical shape, at least 600cc, but not too big and heavy. This is for a friend that is taking her MSF course as we speak, and needs her first bike. She wants a cruiser, but may upgrade to a sportbike at some point. Most of the people she will be riding with will be on cruisers, as she is in the "Dangerous Curves" female motorcycle club.

So what's out there? Anyone got a used cruiser that they don't ride any more that they might be willing toi part with?

She doesn't want a Ducati. It's not for my girlfriend. She already has a Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 and a new Monster 696. This is for a friend of hers.
