This guy is representing GA so well in Washington. He's stated Guam is getting so overpopulated, it is going to "tip over and capsize".

Can we all get a round of applause for Rep. Hank Johnson, moron in general.

I'm not sure, but damn this guy must have been taking lessons from Cynthia McKinney.

BTW, watch the video. I really think this genius is serious.

Rule for congressmen. Never appear on camera after smoking a fat one all by yourself.

Have you gone back and read his explination?

I read this part, "Reached for comment, a spokesman for Johnson said the lawmaker had visited Guam, and his concern was that the influx of military personnel would overwhelm the island's infrastructure and ecosystem."

If you found more, posting a link would be helpful.

This?

You guys just wait a minute here. Ya gotta wonder if a normal person would be that dense. I'm serious here. This guy is suffering from Hepatitis C and repercussions from that can result in changes in brain function. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on the matter. (major brain fart, if you will)
It, of course, doesn't change the fact that the man needs to get the hell out of his position of leadership. When you make that kind of mistake the reason isn't as important as doing the right thing and stepping down.

Which is only more proof that he has no business being in the position he is in.

“I wasn’t suggesting that the island of Guam would literally tip over,” said Johnson. “I was using a metaphor to say that with the addition of 8,000 Marines and their dependents – an additional 80,000 people during peak construction to the port on the tiny island with a population of 180,000 – could be a tipping point which would adversely affect the island’s fragile ecosystem and over burden its already overstressed infrastructure.

“Having traveled to Guam last year, I saw firsthand how this beautiful – but vulnerable island – is already overburdened, and I was simply voicing my concerns that the addition of that many people could tip the delicate balance and do harm to Guam.”

Did you watch that video? I have a very hard time to believe that isn't what he truly meant to begin with. I think the rest is damage control.

They don't call them Representatives for nothing.
