Me and a friend went riding yesterday and passed 2-3 copes.Anyway we rode up 129 and saw a few and decided to hit RR not knowing it was closed.I missed the Whit sign whit the orange flag and started riding up to the top,stopped @ the road closed sign. A guy on a silver FZ1 came from the top of the mountain saying he went to the top and turned around. Well my friend and I thought we'd ride up to see why the road was closed,well we got busted be a ranger and he thought it would be a great learning lesson for us to pay 125.00 because we didn't obey the signs.:crying: I was not happy,maybe 25.00 or 30 but not 125.
So later we rode down 180 on the brass town ball side over to 75 and just rode kinda slow because I was p!ssed still. Went up 60 and over to Morganton.Got some gas and headed back because it was about 5pm. We headed back and right before we got to TWO 2 cops in a blue explorer flagged us over.It this point I couldn't figure out what they wanted see as how we were going pretty slow. I asked him why we were getting stopped and his reply was "just wait" AAA wait for what? the two cops asked us if we left our third friend behind,Scotty and I both looked at each other and said "aaaaa it just the two of us riding".
We heard a bike screaming around the corner.The guy lays on his front brake (you could hear the front tire swealing) The little fat cop yells out we can go as the GSXR pulls over. The guy pulls off his helmet,he must of been 20 yrs old and I believe he was going to jail. We put our helmets on and haled azz .
I don't think I'll be going up there for a while. My friend and I are 48 yrs old and don't do stupid things and its just not fun anymore. I thought I'd shair my experience with everyone.
