Hello all
I am looking for a good reputable shop around the Loganville area. I want to make
sure my bike is running in top condidtion. The bike is a 1988 Honda Hurricane 1000.
She runs pretty good now but i have noticed that upon full acceleration she hesitates
at first then runs great. I have put new plugs in and air filter. That helped.
The bike has 36k on it. I really do not know the history as I have had the bike about
2 months. I sure the valves and the carbs need adjusted. I want the bike to run like
Hurricane should, shes about 80 percent there now I feel. She starts up and idles great. I have the manual for specs and all.
Thanks

It does sound like a carb issue off the bat. Since you have only owned the bike for the last 2 months and dont know the history , having someone give it a good look over will help give you an idea of how well it was taken care of. Typically removing the carbs and cleaning them thoroughly does wonders for old bikes. Also checking out the tank and fuel filter. If the carbs are clean as a whistle and the tank is not then its only going to provide recurring issues in the immediate future. Things to consider when taking it in would be.
- Fresh oil
- Spark plugs (check)
- Air Filter ( Check)
- All cables
- brake pads
- safety related bolts for proper torque
- compression

Not exactly in that order.

We would also be glad to help out with any issues you may have.
