I'm with Sprint. I get almost ZERO reception anywhere north of Dahlonega. I feel this is a safety issue when most of my weekend is riding in the mountains.
My contract is up soon and need a new provider. Who get bars on the top Blood Mtn or Suches? Or do they all get zero bars...
Oh and even in the Highlands, NC sprint gives me no service...
sigh.
I pretty much keep signal up in that area.
Verizon here.

Verizon. Very, very few places I lose signal. And I can tell you exactly where it will. Literally can't count more than five places. At Blood Mountain it picks up. There's a very small stretch of the mountains from Blood Mountain to Blairsville that doesn't pick up, but very minimal. I would recommend them hands down.

Ya I started this thread because I care more about reception and less about the actual phone platform. I need BARS! :)
Thanks Ramm, I'm thinking of moving to Verizon because of the people I ride with up in the mtns with Verizon they have less issues then the AT&T iPhones...

I have t-mobile, BUT Verizon would probably be the better way to go...Yes their plans may be a lil more, but you have Zero issues!!! (and this is coming from a FORMER T-Mobile employee)
The only place I've not had signal was when I actually needed it up in the mtns between Helen and Hiawasse (sp?) somewhere and someone I was riding with went down.

and that is a rare since they are the ONLY CDMA company in the U.S.
Yeah it was very rare, basically went right up the road and had bars to call a tow truck.

Happy Verizon customer here. Very few places I don't have reception... VERY few. I've also had very good customer service with the few issues I've had.

I switched from AT&T to Sprint and I have been much happier with my service. I know of quite a few areas where I have good service now and I had no service before.
Verizon for the win.

Its strage that Sprint-tel (Sprint Nextel) doesnt have service in the mountains. I used to get Nextel service in the sticks when sometimes it wouldnt get service in the city. lol

Ya I have no idea why sprint sucks so much in the mountains... really that is my only real issue with them. I get great service anywhere around town.

no problem with att for over 15 years here. I have never run into a spot in the hills where I didn't have reception. Even had bars last time we rode warwomen when verizon folks didn't

Been with ATT for a good bit now and I have been in areas where I had bars and Verizon didn't and I have had it go the other way round, and I've seen it where neither had bars. Depends on which side of the hill you are on.
