Just WOW! the DSB was some GREAT racing!! I dont care what anyone thinks of last years cluster of an organization AMA/DMG was, this year is starting off great, and this weekend proves once again, its just getting better and better each round. Danny Eslick, Corey West, and Martin Cardenas were slugging it out the entire race, with the top 6 guys all in contention to win. Cardenas finally put the move on Vesrah's Cory West at the end of the race and took the victory with Cory taking 2nd. West actually was in the lead a few times, which friggin ROCKS to see the hero's of WERA Team Vesrah out there battling it out for the top spot on the box. They got a great kid riding for them when they picked up Cory, and from what ive read, theyve got a couple of REALLY fast kids theyre working with as development riders that im sure you'll see on the podium in a couple of years.

I didnt get to stay and watch the superbike race so i have no clue what happened in it yet (had to come home and take the wife to a dinner and a movie for her birthday today).

I met Megan Kociski (Road Atlanta here on the board) this morning, and let me just say, Megan you are a SWEETHEART!! Thanks for everything you do to promote this event for Road A.

The turnout for today's racing was actually pretty damn good i thought judging by what i saw as i was riding the bicycle around the track today...........WHICH by the way, next year, imma gonna HAVE to take my golf cart, my quads are killing me, and that ittybitty seat on Lee's mtn. bike has officially bruised the hell outta my bony little arse!

Thanks again Megan for letting everyone here know what a great event Road A is hosting this year.

Oh yea, gotta also say it is great seeing so many of the WERA guys out there competing too. Absolutely awesome to see so many of the guys i used to race with (and thats using that word loosely) out there living the dream. Congrats to all of them as well!

What was the deal with Josh Hayes on Sat? I know he had a penalty ride through for jumping the start, but right after he exited pit lane they red flagged the race. How was it that he got to start up in pole position again? Seems to me that he should have had to grid up in the position he was in when they red flagged the race. I don't get it.

Best racing I've seen in a long, long time. I can't remember how many times the guys in DSB were coming into T10a 3&4 wide. Heck, West went from 4th to 1st one lap and came down the hill sideways while doing it. They were definitely letting it all hang out!

GREAT races!

I really enjoyed the races too... I was actually surprised how much i enjoyed them... It seemed like an even racing platform, and it came down to skill more than the bike or tire choice..

I may have to start DVR'ing the events again! I more went to support the stunt riders, but I only got to see half a show cause i was so wrapped up in the racing!

This weekend proved that the races are worth paying the tix prices for. Those of you that are talking the NASCRAP DMG bandwagon missed one hell of a show.

The racing has always been good, especially in the 600 classes.

I'll also say that allowing the kids in for free was cool! Sheila's nieces brought their kids and a friend (2 10 yo girls and a 10 yo boy) and they had a great time! They were so excited to get autographs from the Suzuki guys at Suzuki's autograph session on Saturday. The boy is a die hard baseball fan and he told his mom that he liked this just as much as baseball! I thought she was going to stroke out. :D

The girls of course were rooting for Melissa and Elena!

Okay, so I was wrong...he went from 6th to 1st!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I don't know...I just noticed a lot more young kids and families there than I had before. Maybe they did a better job promoting that this year or something...just my observation.

Best crowd I've seen for this event in the last 2 or 3 years despite the economy still slagging.

On behalf of Road Atlanta I want to thank all of you that helped support us and who came out to the races. AMA Pro Racing is really trying to turn things around and I think this event proved it.

Todd- thank you for the compliment! :)

Hope to see you all at WERAs events this year!
