Dan- I wish I had know you guys were going. We just got back from a weekend ride to Memphis. We were referred to Rendezvous (hogsfly.com) for the best ribs in Memphis. Basement style place. We didnt get to go but will next time. Enjoy your trip. Catch you next time.

Okay, we need a head count if anyone plans on joining us.

Just to clarify; Eddie, Nancy, Sarah, and I are going to camp at T.O. Fuller State Park (http://www.tennessee.gov/environment/parks/TOFuller/) which is right on the river and inside the Memphis City limits. We are looking to do more camping this year and keep the trips cheaper.

I've called about rates amenities. There is a bath house with showers in the middle of the park. Primitive camping is $9.00/tent in a field or basically wherever a dedicated RV spot doesn't exist. You can also camp in RV spots and they do allow multiple tents in one RV spot since space is plentiful. $12/site for no electric/water. $18/site for electric/water. It is a first come/first served basis, but they say they rarely fill up. We plan on splitting an RV spot with electric if available.

Dbl K loves his hotel rooms and I'm sure as many others would just rather stay in a hotel room and so that is also an option. Dbl K wants to stay close to Beale St to go enjoy the night life. Please post up if you plan on joining him as he needs to get the hotel rooms taken care of. You are also welcome to camp with us if you would like.

I will be doing the route which will consist of mostly back roads with frequent rests both to and from Memphis. I will be doing my best to keep us on pavement the entire time. It should be a fun ride and enjoyable weekend trip.

i will be there for my sisters graduation at the fed ex forum on saturday. im origianlly from memphis and know alll the good spots yall can hit me up if u want i also think im headed to tunica that night to gamble some

Actually, this trip is getting put on hold. Dbl K had something come up and the rest of us decided to do a camping trip up to the BRP instead. Keep an eye out for a future trip to Memphis.

Let me know when you guys plan the next one. I just got laid off yesterday (i'm not broken up about it) and looking for a 3-4 day trip on the VFR and camping out......a clear the head ride if you will. I can't do anything until after May 23 though as I've been training for the Masters Nationals Swim Meet at Ga Tech May 20-23.
