Isn't there some sand dunes near Albany?

durhamtown plantation has a rock crawling jeep course....they might have something for you too:up:
also if it has tags and insurance, you are welcome to drive it on the many forest service roads in north ga!!!

Can you tell me more about these forest service roads? Are they just open roads available to the public? Do they have specific names?

buy a Chattahoochee National Forest map from USFS. Any road that is open to licensed and insured motor vehicles is open to you if you have a license and insurance as well. Their names usually are FSXX or FSXXX with numbers where the Xs are. They all have speed limits but so do the public roads. Go slow where its prudent to do so and let er rip where its prudent to do that. A cool side effect of going up there and exploring is seeing a lot of cool stuff like waterfalls, hiking trails, camp sites and meeting other people that are enjoying similar activities. The best part though is that they are free.....at least free from a direct admission fee.
Enjoy!!

I would call that a rail buggy or sand rail.
This is what I call a dune buggy.

There were a few at Beasley Knob OHV Saturday.
Lots of good hill climbs out there.
