Completely agree. Its good to see some form of action be taken against pro athletes for acting like morons. Would be nice if this kind of correction would become a trend.

Yeah I've heard the Rooneys won't mess with this either.. My guess is once the final suspension details are worked out, he'll be gone. What a douchebag.. I am guessing he could have his pick of WILLING females , but no.. it sounds like he forced himself on this poor girl.. I wish she had pressed charges so the DA would have pursued this more.. He should probably be behind bars..

The DA probably didn't have much choice. The cop on the scene didn't investigate properly, the evidence was destroyed, and most of the witnesses would testify that the victim was drunk at the time (who is the only one who could testify against him)....... this on top of the fact that the defendant is a famous athlete.

Going to trial would be risky.... lose and double jeopardy applies.

It is my hope that evidence resurfaces and that Ben Rapist-berger does 4–6 years in a correctional facility in addition to his suspension.

I won't hold my breath, though.

A friend of mine works at a martini bar in Pittsburgh that a lot of the Steelers frequent. She told us the year after he was drafted that Ben is a complete dick to women. She said he is very rude and treats all the women in that bar like meat. I guess this has been behavior stemming from before he became a pro athlete. I would guess now, it is amplified.
