Last minute decided to run up to DP and ride a bit(solo). Only 1 truck in the parking lot when I showed up. I was expecting the trails to be slippery from the rain yesterday. Trails were very very good. Only a couple slick spots. The single tracks were a bit more wet but nothing unmanagable. This was only my second time on the wr since I got it. First time was at Whissy and I was trying to get used to the bike and get my dirt legs back. I didnt plan on riding hard since I was solo but the bike just kept begging me to go faster. Luckily I only had two close calls. Both were on some of the faster sections where I was letting the bike get above my ability. If I only knew how to jump well.....:jam2:

Dude, riding solo out there is NEVER a good idea... You fall, get hurt, you've got nobody to go for help, and on a day like today, you can forget anyone coming along to stop and help you.

Up to you, but after seeing what happened to Chaotic, you can bet I'll NEVER ride solo out on trails...

I dont like riding solo but will. I do carry my SPOT just in case. I know I could get knocked out etc but that could happen in the mountains on a sport/cruiser bike also where, no one will see you.

It may not be your ability. Bike set up will go a long way at improving your speed and safety. My 125 may not have much motor but its set up pertty well.

Your simple adjustments to my bike at Whissy made a big difference for the better.

Glad to know I can be used as an example of what not to do :)

I agree tho.. I am so so SO grateful I wasnt out there alone. It was bad enough I was the only one in my car, but thats what the GF is gonna be for once she moves here :)
