hey guys, and gals. ive been out of the game for 2 1/2 crappy, long, sad years, and finally june 3rd ill be looking to take home another bike. im trying to build my credit up, and i was wondering if anyone knew of a shop that would sell me a bike and make payments to them in an in house financing setup. the big places want a co-signer, and im trying to stay away from that. my credit isnt bad, i just dont have much on my record, except a bank loan that i paid off recently, for my old f4i sadly. im looking at something along the lines of another f4i, gsxr 600, 600rr, zx6r, etc.

WOW does in house financing. The downside is that it's hard to get what I personally feel is a good deal there.

WoW does in house financing, but they use outside parties. I heard my salesman on the phone with somebody and he said the rates range from 6 to 30%. You'd be better off getting a private loan and paying the bank.

what are the chances of the bank giving me another loan, this time without a co-signer?

thats what i would rather do, but im really trying to build my credit, ill stop by wow and see what they have to offer, and if its that bad, ill save up for a few more months. at least by then the prices will start to go down.

Sounds like a plan. Any rate over 9 percent....walk away. What price range are you looking at?

Yeah, In my experience its hard to find financing for that low of an amount. But good luck. I just bought an F4i from there (cash) so they'll do what they can.

I would recommend working with a credit union and get either an unsecured or (if you have to) secured credit card. Use it to pay for the gas in a bike you pay cash for and pay it off monthly. That way you can continue to build credit without paying a large amount of interest while doing so.
I am personally against taking a loan for anything but a home though and try to live below my means so I can save for emergencies/future/future purchases and fun stuff.

WoW will walk all over you on financing, as GMoney said - save your money!

banks typically for people with good credit finance for 10% minimum which is lowsy, credit unions typically wont finance bikes period, and most dealers will charge you more especially if your building credit. Like eveyrone else said, if your only wanting to spend 3500.00 save your cash and buy through a private sale, then you can save on taxes too.

Don't know what credit union you use, I've found this to be the opposite. I contemplated using one and they approved me at 4.75% though I just ended up paying cash in the end...

Unless it's your main transportation, pay cash. I have read & been told on this board if you can't pay cash you don't need it. Don't finance a toy. Cash cash cash.

I use Credit unions for all my loan's. My bank changed policy so I found another credit union who did my loan at 4 percent and I took it. It's payed off now but yea it was hard to find a bank because a few changed policy's on loan amount and the way it's financed term's.
