Who knows at this point. By all descriptons the device sounded crude but that shouldn't take away from the fact that they guy is Muslim, a Pakastani national, has a wife over there and was over there for the last several months...Crude devices kill people too.

I cant believe they think this guy is actually connected to the Al-qeeda guys. They usually blow themselves up with the car so thinking that he belongs with them is just a little weird to me.
He used the worst material to make a bomb and they still believe he actually got training there. If he was trained there how comes he got all the wrong materials ?

Also, Why are they not talking about 5 PEOPLE being arrested in BUFORD,GA couple of days ago WITH EXPLOSIVES in their cars and in their home.
There was nothing mentioned what their motives were and WHERE they got their supplies from. Maybe they were trained by some white terrorist groups, who knows.

People get arrested with explosives all the time. The NYC one is news because he actually got it to Time Square and set it off - luckily he really really sucks at bomb making.

Read that this morning. After all the problems legit passengers have gotten from this list, one of the people it was suppose to stop slips through. I'm thankful the bomb didn't go off.

Not that it makes a difference but he was put on the list earlier that day.

I would be more likely to believe they are not reporting it because it was not a "white terrorist group" then because it was.
