Honestly thats not going to make much difference, maybe on open road but 9 out of 10 times you aren't out running the radio anyway. They are going to be lightyears ahead of the HDs though.

All units are delivered with a tighter turning radius and custom law enforcement equipment, including: adjustable speedometer, a second wiring harness with 12 fused circuits and a separate battery dedicated to the add-on electronics installed by Beaudry Motors, Inc. An extensive selection of emergency equipment is available to satisfy agency requirements.

Is that Kawasaki's admission that their factory speedometers are inaccurate on civilian units and these can be calibrated so as to allow a LEO to pace John Q Public?

Why dont Kawasaki just fix the damn speedometer on all the bikes? Seems like that would make more sense.

Sure sounds like it.

That always bugs me. How come year after year the speedo's on bikes are so optimistic and worse then that the speedo and the odometer part are off different amounts. They certainly can get it right.

All bikes are off, usually a nice even 10%.

All speedos are off, used to be able to find places that would calibrate them in most big cities. If you know it's going to be off, have it err on the high side to keep your customers from getting tickets. Not sure how much more accurate the newer ones are reading off of the tranny but being able to easily calibrate it makes sense for a cop who will use it in court, it doesn't really matter to the rest of us.
