Me and a friend are riding up and round the mountains on Saturday.
Not sure where we are going since all I hear about is "Cops are Everywhere"

Slow ride since this will be his first time up in the mountains.

Rachelle and I *might* be in - I have to see how visitation with my youngest daughter works out this weekend. I'm supposed to have her at my house, but with Mother's Day being this Sunday, she may stay at her mom's.

I'll post up soon to let you know one way or the other.

I understand worrying about cops and all since you never can tell if they will pull you over or not but if you are just going about your business they shouldn't be a problem.

What will get you pulled over up there? Obviously speeding and crossing the double lines but what about achieving serious lean without speeding? Will they pull you over for hanging off the bike? What would they try to write that up as?

You should know Troy's logic by now dude he likes to improve where the Factory just didn't cut it. Personally I don't blame him some mod's are worth the cost and some are just a waste of time and effort.

They give out "To fast for conditions" like they are water. I also was up at blood last summer and Lumpkin was handing out "racing" tickets to riders with one piece suits on! i guess it just depends on how the overall crowd is acting.

isn't that why everyone does mods? to make the bike better or improve certain aspects of the bike that can be improved?

Not questioning the motive, doesn't matter to me. Moreso just wondering what you are getting done. Like are you getting a slipper or something?

Are you serious? So you mean that just by wearing a "racing suit" they assumed you were racing? Thats crazy.

I'm in! But I may not leave until a little later. I'm new here so I would really like to get together. My cell is 678-978-0869. Is there a plan solid enough that I can plan to meet you in the mountains?

No, not a professor, This is us and here's my number. Call and we''ll see how far north/east/west we are. Like I said, we don't do the traditional loop but we LOVE the Cherahola so we try to work that in anytime we can.

barely 350 miles, odometer went over 30k, no tickets, only saw a couple LEO, 985 to 52 towards RR, nice ride on the back side of RR a couple of times, 180 to Outfitters Store, met some peeps, up and down 129 a few times and back to TWO for lunch, great lunch, 180 to 129 back a forth a few more times, slabbed it on 400. Not my usual ride, short and sweet although I did hear of one rider that went down hard - prayers to you unknown rider.

Yeah... Sorry. The battery thing was an ordeal. And apparently Buell Batteries arent the easiest to install. We didn't get up to the mountains until nearly 1!!! But, it turned out to be a good thing. Cause while I LOVED the twisties. I don't yet have the stamina for an all day affair. We went up... had a chat. We went down... had lunch about 2-2:30. We went down again... and that was it. We were headed home. I was POOPED! But not in that brown, ewww that's not good, kinda way. I was just tired. Learned alot though!

For example: Guard rails are not as pretty up close. But front brakes when properly applied make the most beautiful sound!!!! Whew... Close one going down from Mountain Crossings. I changed my shorts and continued my further descent into the addiction!!!!

To everyone who I missed. I'm sorry. But I will try harder next time to be more timely!!!!
