Even on motorcycles! 3 weekends of racing so far for me this year and I've been hit 2 times. First time was at tally... Got hit in the butt (literally, my butt) by a front tire while cranked over in the bowl. Moved me a bit but kept on trucking... Even forgot about it once I got into the pits and then it dawned on me and I was like "hell, I almost forgot....I got hit!"

Then this past weekend at barber... First race on the zx10, coming through t10(left hander before the uphill right tunnel turn) I was at the apex and a guy came over and slammed me about halfway back. Put some paint on my lower and dented my new leo vince can. Moved me a bit but again, kept on trucking and picked up the spot! And again i almost forgot once I was in the pits...

Guess I've always feared in the back of my mind being hit on the track but now... I have been hit twice and kept on rolling.(knock on wood) Granted they weren't severe hits like a t-bone or something but they were forceful interactions nonetheless.

Watching a guy lowside right beside me in turn 2 at barber this weekend probably distracted me more then getting hit. Best advice, ignore the hit and keep on rolling.... Anyone else rubbing while racing out there?

Yep, i've bumped elbows with people on purpose (especially at tally) to slightly distract them and take their line =) ... If i couldn't find a pass anywhere else on the track id just get up next to them going into the bowl and while hard on the brakes i would stick my right elbow out and hit their left elbow moving them off the inside line ;)

Funny thing about is......in the Expert class it doesn't move them off their line. They would probly move you off your line.:D

Rubbin is control riding lol.... Have had more than a couple instances where near the end of a track day when control riding some of us control riders went nuts in the advance group. I have had Cliff bump me out of his way...lol. I have rubbed elbows many times but only once did I have paint that wasnt mine on my bike. Brantley and I touched going into T13 at JGP. I looked forward to the end of the day when everyone was feeling froggy.

Nikk, you should speed up. :p

Ok, joking. I was it hard in practice in my first wera event ever at Tally in Feb. Spider webbed the hell out of my tail and scared the shit out of me. Just all part of it I suppose.

I remember bumping Brantley in T6, us splitting a slow rider on the exit, then nearly bumping again after we passed him... fun times.

Where the hell is he lately anyway?

got that shit right. Ive had Mike Smith take the only 6" of pavement at the apex of the corner and bump my happy ass right out of the way. For some of those guys, its a "take no prisoners" attitude, especially when there is money on the line.

All he does is play those stupid free poker tournaments at local bars. I have only seen him twice in a year and that was cause I just happen to go have a beer at a bar he was playing poker at.

I think I wouldn't notice a "bump"... parts flew from the other guys bike when he hit me Sunday... Lower, can, swingarm all scratched with paint on 'em. And my ass had a bruise and the leathers were scuffed from the front tire that rammed me at tally. But never lost my line and all is fine and good... This stuff is fun!

I got bumped by a control rider at Tally once. He came up on the inside of T1 and drifted out. His back tire + my front tire = this:

Getting hit isn't too bad. In fact, I'd like to get hit more often

Seriously, as long as the tires don't touch, its all in a day's work.
