It runs.

The Bad:
Tranny slips. Bought it, filled tranny up with the good stuff, and it leaked. Drove for 6 months (~15,000 miles) and the tranny started to slip. Stop driving it, bought a new car.
Cracked windshield.
Dented front left bumper.
Typical Stuck lifter sound from the engine.

Compensation:
$1,500 American dollars.
Trades for a running pick up truck – don’t care how old.
Trades for motorcycles, guns, laptops, etc., whatever you can come up w/ that equals $1,500.

Started it up last weekend, battery is dead, so it’ll need a jump. Tranny slips. I was going to list it for $2,500 before the tranny started slipping, so $1,000 off. $100 to fill up the tranny at the shop, $800 to replace the bad boy.

I had a 98 trooper couple year ago. GREAT SUV but mine used to burn oil for some reason.
I found the engine 3 times almost out of oil, but the engine is like bulletproof.

Loved it.

Yeah, this one never burnt any oil -- which surprised me.
I had heard about others doing that, so I was real careful about checking it almost every week, and during the 6 months of ownership never had a problem.

I would of kept it, but I drive somewhere in the 500 - 700 miles a week range. While the 20mpg it was getting was decent, Jim Ellis had a deal that they would give $3,500 on any trade in, including my 1993 Toyota Camry w/ a blown head gasket, bad tranny, and barley made it to the dealership, it was hard to pass up a brand new car that gets 35mpg and cost me less that $10,000.
