If you have not played this game, it is a blast and I certainly recommend it for free. It is short (3 hours or so) so take the plunge. It is worth it just for the Computer's commentary.
Please note that we have added a consequence for failure. Any contact with the chamber floor will result in an unsatisfactory mark on your official testing record. Followed by death. Good luck!

Cool, I loved this game on the Orange Box and would love to snag it for the puter also. Thanks for the tip!

I would, but I refuse to put steam's DRM software on my machine :-(

No. Just don't want to waste money on companies who treat their paying customers like criminals

You have never purchased an EA game then? What do you play?

Installed steam Mac and got portal on Friday. Already on stage 18.. I finished it back on windows a few years back. Can't wait to get the rest of my steam games working in the Mac... One less reason to boot to windows!

Ummm yeah.. lmfao.. Steam has single handedly promoted AND PAID numerous independent companies for games that you would NEVER hear about.. And like Imp said, EA is MUCH worse about customer support than Steam ever would be..
But hey, your loss man..

Agreed... Steam is WAYYYYY better than the EA delivery system. Steam just works so much better and i love that they basically hold your license keys, so if you ever want to install again later, or on a different machine - done! No searching for CD's, or keys or anything like that.
EA imposes stupid restrictions on how long you're allowed to DL the game after you've bought it... WTF? I paid for it, it's tied to my account, why can't I DL it again later on??? IDIOTS.

Yep, I get a new computer, load steam, and start downloading like a madman.
