Is there any custom shop's around the Metro Atlanta area or near Kennesaw who will replace the ever so thin thin padding in my stock Oem Honda seat ? I would like a new foam/gel upgrade and would like to see any recommended places within this area. I would go the ebay method but want this done Asap.

Thanks

just buy a sargent seat. i sat on one on a cbr, actually its Ericks bike on here, and it was very very comfortable. If i ever have a wallet that is too fat im going to send my seat to sargent and have them redo it for me since they dont offer one for the z1000. Sargent is way more comfortable than Corbin in my opinion

Yea My bike seat sucks and Honda really didn't do a overall good job here . I have a new cover coming in for rear seat (red/black )and i'll look into the Sargent front seat. I mainly want to replace the Pos I have right now. Which Eric is that who has the update Like to see that in person before I buy.

OverTwoCustoms in Lawrenceville could probably do it.

Sarah had her Ninja 650R seat redone at Spencer's seat mods and was very happy with it. Plus its very reasonable at $75. Just make sure your seat is stock. He won't mess with a modified seat.

Dan,

Thanks this option really looks like the method I very likely will go with . I was a little bit uneasy about sending my seat off but since you dealt with him and his feedback seems very good i'll look at placing my order today. It's just the front seat I will be redoing anyway. Thanks all for the help
Eric

do like I did and purchase a second seat and send that one off. That way if I didn't like it, I still had the stock seat

its probably not on here, but I know Sarah probably has a writeup on BSB. We actually sent her BMW seat off to to be re-worked, but found out it wasn't stock and he just doesn't guarantee hes work when someone else has been in the seat. So now we are researching other options for her BMW seat. For the price, he's hard to beat.

He does good work and his turn around is very quick also. I believe 24-48hrs once it is in his hands.

turn around is no more than 48 hours

Troy,

Thank you for your interest in my work.

Well..a Goldwing seat it will never be :) but the Tuono riders seat actually takes rather well to modification. Your Tuono riders section typically uses a medium density viscoelastic foam as a base under the re-contoured seating area, changing the angle of the seat to help stop the forward slide, and creating a more supportive "butt pocket". Then with the addition of a softer seat mid line to relieve pressure on the crotch, it forms to you, and works with your weight shifts, rather than forcing you to sit perched on top of the seat. Your seat does however have just enough room to add the Supracor suspension which would take it to the next level. It allows a more form fitting seating area, reduces vibration, and dampens road shock to greatly enhance rider comfort. This for most riders, provides the ability to easily go tank to tank in relative comfort. I would absolutely recommend the upgrade. The Supracor/LD material works for the rider because it is a dynamic material with an instant rebound. It moves with you, working with your weight shifts for proper bike control. If you use a material in the riders section that "takes a set" it locks you in one position and fights against you. This is the main problem with foams as the rider is constantly moving, even while cruising the highway you are making small corrections in your weight distribution. The seat height would remain stock.

Pricing would be the standard minimum of $50 for the actual work to the riders seat, and a $25 material charge for the Supracor.

A photo of you in riding position is helpful and appreciated, but not an absolute necessity. Each seat is set up specifically for the rider so any additional information you think I may need regarding your position, type of riding, any medical concerns you may have should be listed in the special instructions area on the order form. When you think you have given me too much information, just a little more should be about right.

Please ship at your convenience, all that I ask is that you drop me note when you do so that I can properly set my schedule. My current turnaround is no more than 48 hours so your only real downtime will be in shipping. If you visit my web site you can find the order form as well as my FAQ page which contains more information regarding shipping, payment, and a bunch (probably too much) general information. Contact me any time if you have questions.
Thanks again and ride safe, Spencer

Georgia, did you ever send your seat off? I'm thinking of sending mine out too. Just wanted your opinion on his work.

Those seats are so think and uncomfortable. What are you trying to have done on it ?

I'm just trying to make it more supportive for longer rides. The seat is initially soft, but after a while it tends to lose its shape. Gel would be nice.

I agree 100%. I have the Sargent seat on my 07 1000RR. It was worth every penny!
