We are having 2 matches on Memorial Day to raise money for the family of a fallen soldier.
1st Match will be a Service Rifle
2nd Match will be a Rifle Steel Challenge
Info for both matches is on the website creeksidefiringrange.com
We will have alot of prizes that will be auctioned off like the previous years after the matches.
All proceeds go to the family including the money from the aucton prizes. All items that will be auctioned off will updated on the website and on here as they are confirmed.
If you know of anybody that would like to donate some items for the auction please let me know.
The above is written by Joe, the owner of Creekside. I will be up there helping Joe with these matches. The matches are fun. There will be an auction of gun stuff afterwards. Everything from little hats, flashlights, up to a Daniel Defense upper. Please come out on Monday if you have a chance. You do not have to shoot in the matches, you can come and watch. If you have anything you might want to donate, let me know and I will get you in touch with Joe.

I love it. I switched from South River Gun Club to go to Creekside. It takes me 1 hour from downtown and 45 mins from Marietta. Outdoor pistol bays, 50 yard rifle, and 100 yard rifle all open to the pubic. There is a large training pit and a small training pit for members only. On certain days for members and if you let Joe know, he can back you out to 500-550 yards. Memberships are the best price I have seen. IIRC, $175 for a single membership and $250 for a family. Or if you choose not to become a member, it is $20 for a single day.
Creekside is Class 3 friendly. We have matches or classes almost every weekend.

Good to know. Not Class 3 right now but thinking about a suppressor in the future. Going to have to check it out. Would like to get into some shooting where I can do CQC type training or at least shoot at metal targets on the run with my latest purchase. Probably have to join up for that I would imagine if it is even offered.

Steel targets are sometimes on the pistol range, but if you want to draw from holster and practice CQC then you will need to use the small pit. That requires a membership.

What about using a weapon firing .223 for CQC? Do they do that there?

You are allowed to use almost anything in the pits. Shooting rifles at steel at certain distances is allowed, but I dont know what the allowed distances are right now.

The auction/raffle will be between the two matches. Around 12-1:00 I believe. If you can, come out and support a great cause.
