Has anyone ever gone riding on Birimingham Hwy here in Georgia? If so, what did you think? Any POI you would recommend along the way like a good restaurant for lunch, or scenery?

Yes, North of Birmingham Hwy. Plan on meeting a friend at 12pm off Old Milton. But not sure what is a good route, just remember a long time ago I think we rode on Birmingham hwy. Is this a good road? Are you familiar with the area, what would your recommend

It's nothing big, just a road with some nice houses along the road. it ends in Canton, maybe 10 miles long or something

There are a lot of side roads around there that offer cheap thrills. I go thru that area every day to work.

Thanks for your response. I just don't know of anywhere to ride around that area. Any suggestions?

Its all ok. Just take any of these roads: new bulpin, lower birmingham, union hill, hopewell, cogburn, freemanville.

Just be careful of Milton police in that area. They like to "generate revenue". There are a bunch of great roads in that area.

There is a good sweeper and mini esse on freemanville. A nice hair pin on Thompson Rd. Cogburn/Hopwell is the most heavily LE enforced. Lathemtown rd, Old Hickory, Providence, New Providnece, Mountain and a few others roads have some turns and are nice easy rides.

I ride back there sometimes when I can't go the mountains. Pretty houses, nice views.

Beware of other drivers, driveways, cyclists, etc.

Add new bulpin, liberty grove and gaddis... most all roads are clear of gravel.
