Makes dZone's stuff look like a cruise through the park doesn't it?

(No insult intended, B. I love your videos.)

William Dunlop was quoted in a magazine this month, "You don't need a big team to go roadracing, just big balls". McGuiness has a big budget bike and balls the size of basketballs. Hard to beat that.

Video speed looks about right to me - based on watching the HD Theater coverage of the 09 event. Audio is synch'ed too. Sounds like the detractors have testicle envy. :)

Anyone that gets a trophy and a handshake from Rossi is the real deal in my book. Goooo John Mc and   to anyone that has ever turned a wheel in anger on that course.

anyone that thinks that vid is sped up is an idiot and has no clue what the IOM TT is all about. Thats actual speed, granted, there are very few that can go THAT fast around that place, but still, thats actual video with no tampering.

Think about how many people live their lives without ever getting out of their safe little boxes and never going much over 75... of course 200mph is gonna look sped up to them.

I've gone over 75. About 135 is the fastest I've ever done (HP challenged, never had a genuine pocket rocket) and it looks sped up to ME. I know it's not. But it still looks like it is.

I guess I am an idiot then with no clue what the TT is all about, cause it feels tweaked to me, not a lot just enough. The wheelies just go up and down a hair too fast, and the engine sounds are a bit higher pitched than normal. Not sure why you are taking it so personally Toodles, you didn't create the vid, just posted it?

watch any of the TT vids. IMO, any of the ones that were recorded onboard any of the "fast guys" bikes running race pace, all "look" that fast to me. Dunno, maybe I'M the idiot. :D

Not taking anything personal, Bill.

All the HD Theater shows have them all at that speed. I really don't think they are sped up at all.

I think the Guy Martin interviews are sped up for sure....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiTEKBrDfX0&feature=related

I dunno. Vid could be tweaked or maybe just a low frame rate so it looks like that.

Here's a full JM lap including telemetry.

dunno, looks just as fast to me. At the end of a lap, when they say that it was a "150mph lap", doesnt that mean he AVERAGED that speed for the lap? If so, that last clip you put up, Wally, doesnt look like a "150mph lap" to me. The first one did, tho.

That could be because no one has averaged 150 mph on the course.

Hutchinson went even quicker on his second lap at 130.614mph to move to the top of the Superbike qualifying leaderboard and win the Graham watch for the fastest rider of the week whilst Amor did likewise on the Superstock BMW at 128.229mph. Meanwhile, the Dunlop brothers were setting the pace on their 600s, Michael getting close to the class lap record at 126.39mph with older brother William moving in to the top six at 123.621mph, just behind McGuinness at 123.750mph. Meanwhile, Donald was again close to 129mph on his Superbike machine.

Here is one from last year... It's the most bad ass video I've ever seen.

The course is 37.73 miles long. McGuinness holds the single lap record at 17:12.3, 131.578 mph in 2009. Nobody's gone that fast yet this year.

wallypiper

Which means, of course, that the video I posted above is only the first half of his lap. The fastest speed shown during that section was about 178 and that only for a moment. Even on the straightest sections, he rarely tops 175. I guess it's those pesky jumps you have to keep going over.
