Found this piece of advice for you:

Do you know how to tell the difference between a St. Maarten goat and a St. Maarten sheep?

hit up the runway beach bar hut looking thing. titties galore right next door, all the arrival times for the day posted up on a surfboard and decent food. think the owner is from philly.

enjoy. oh and check out happy bay. its a hike but you will be the only one there.

That airport beach looks bad ass (from the Youtube clips).. the geek in me would hang out there all week.. titties and 747's 30 feet above? Awesome!

Plus the little rastafarian will rent you a chair and share his weed with you. At least that is what I heard...I dont smoke. That beach is cool for sure but the week I was there was my honeymoon so I had other stuff to do. I had to drag my wife there the two times we went. It was pretty cool.

Close flight from ATL. In spite of what you might think, its not as expensive as it looks to go there. St Barths IS but that island isnt.

Pics... we didnt take many. We spent most ouf our time lounging about the beach at the resort and our room just enjoying doing pretty much nothing.

That is bad ass! The popularity of the place seems to be really picking up. The honeymoon for the wedding couple we saw this weekend is at St. Marteen. May have to see about going there.

Its a cool spot. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon 3 years ago. Wasnt nearly as expensive as I had imagined.

Never heard of this place, I checked it out online and found that it is owned by the Dutch and French and both offer different amenities (ie. hot nuddies, parties and then the nice beaches). Can you give some insight on where and what to do. I was going to take the wife to Costa Rica this fall, but the airfare just jumped up to $100 more per person. Maybe this would be a nice place, but we hated Jamaica

I havent been to Jamaica but from I have heard and then what I experienced in St Maarten you would like St Maarten a lot more.

the dutch side isnt lawless but as you might imagine laws are a little more relaxed there:lol: driving while drinking or drunk on the dutch side is pretty much ok. the french prohibit it. the french of course allow full nudity but rarely is it worth seeing IMO. the island is very small. if you rented a Jeep you could probably drive around it about 10-15 times in a day. that said, their is a lot to do and a lot to see. the euro is currently about where it was when I went in 2007 and at that time, many of the beach spots on the french side would take dollars instead at 1:1. of course credit card charges will be converted. the dutch side trades in dollars. between hikes, swimming, beach people watching :lol:, drinking, eating, riding jet skis, snorkeling/scuba diving, restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing there is plenty to do for a week or so. any longer than that and it might be boring.
