Whats the difference between a slip on and bolt on exhaust. Exhaust shopping and there are a lot of choices. Trying to spend in the $350 range. Thanks in advance.

Slip on and Bolt on is pretty much the same thing only the slip ons are held on with springs and have a lower pipe included that bolts to the stock header and the bolt ons bolt on to the stock header and mid pipe instead of using the springs... Now there is a big difference between the Full System and Slip on system where its a 100% all new exhaust compared to just a new Mid and pipe.

Yeah, I knew that much from working on cars. So what is the easier application? Not looking for performance or HP boosts, just sound and looks.

its not about easier...its about what your model requires. some bikes had a bolt on muffler from the factory. others had a slip on. figure out what yours has and buy accordingly.

My brother still has a BRAND NEW scorpion exhaust in the garage that he never installed on his 05 R6.
I can see if he would sell it and let you know, if you're interested.
