Couple guys went down, apparently because one rider cut the others off without using his turn signals and they locked up the brakes trying to avoid him. The one guy is very likely to have his leg removed today. Pretty sad.

But you know that crowd. Flashy bike, hardly any gear, riding down there at crazy speeds and stunting, and then shit happens and they pretend that the two are not related.

Sorry for the late response. We went to fellinis around 8:45 to eat, then went to turner for about a hour and chill downtown the rest of the night. Just got back in. It was a nice turnout tonight, along with good weather. Just swing out there next man, you'll meet new people and regulars. The guys on this forum usually go every blue moon or so, not too regular, but you're meet new folks are there.

I don't frequent either of the Vortexes much but I go to the Felini's on Ponce once a week or so I rarely see any bikes out there. I'm usually up there Wednesday or Thursday nights. Also, does anyone care to explain why I was told I couldn't ride my bike through Atlantic Station the other day? Are the public-street-stunting douche bags to blame for that one?

I rode up the parking deck at the Overlook no too long ago with the wife. She had never been there. She didn't think too highly of my detailed stories about all the chicks that i used to take up there back when I was a punk kid in high school. Something about that view just made clothes fall off. Oddly enough, it did not work on the wife. Must of had something to do with it being the middle of the day, sober, and being on the back of a Ninja 250 rather than the backseat of a '93 Civic like back in the day...

Maaaaan, I missed the last congregation of the season! Damn work. Let me know if y'all decide to meet up again before it gets too cold (or even after it gets too cold...daily driver here). I need to find some riding buddies to show me the ropes. I took the HD MSF course, I've had my bike as a daily driver for 3 months & 8k miles, I've read 'A Twist of the Wrist' twice, I'm 3/4 through 'A Twist of the Wrist II' on DVD, & I've even had my humbling at-fault wreck (stupid gravel..) But I still feel lacking in skill from the absence of group rides in my riding resume. How am I supposed to know if I'm doing well if there's no one there to say "Good job!" or "What the hell were you tryin' to pull back there?"

So anyway, always looking for experienced riders to take a ride through some twisties or city roads with me. Open highways are easy--it's throttle control I really need to work on. Take caution before offering your help though..I'm on a GS500E, & I'm lucky to hit 110 on the interstate with no traffic. Aerodynamics are not on my bikes side. But I'll be damned before I spend $600 on a full fairing kit for a 40hp bike..
