I was thinking of riding around the winder area in the AM. I dont want to spend all day up in the hills on fathers day.

I just got back from a great ride up there. I met a buddy @ the end of 400 @ 8:00 and we rode 129, 75, and RR. 8:00 is the best time to get up there for a short ride - there is no traffic and the air is nice and cool!

Definitely be careful though, there were quite a few cops out. I was coming down blood mountain and had JUST crossed the double yellow when I saw a GSP posted up on the opposite side of the road. Luckily I wasn't too far over yet and he apparently didn't see me.

Just got back myself, met Matt(hurricanematt) and we got to the chevron about 9:15. We rode blood RR then 356 out of Helen to 197 to 76 to Clayton then down 985 home. It was great!! Only saw one gsp and he was about 1 mile down from the rock pile then never saw another one! Was getting alittle hot on the way home but this morning was outstanding and I was glad to get to ride richard russell again!! Hope to do it again real soon!!

It was a great time as always with Drew. We both stayed vertical which is always a good thing. I got to really try out the new Dunlop Q2's. I really like the way they stick in the corners (awesome tires) Thanks Lorne for the Dunlop Q2 recomendation. First time I ever rode Richard Russel
it was great. We also went up around Lake Burton, nice curves up there also. I did get hot this afternoon on the way home. Total miles rode today
roundtrip from my house, 240 miles. I will sleep good tonight. LOL
