I love it! It's so much faster, and clearer, and it's even thinner. I haven't taken any videos yet but I will here soon. Troy's gonna call me later so we can video chat to test that feature out. Definitely no complaints here. It's freaking awesome! :woot:

So ar it's doing pretty good. Right out of the box all I had to do was hook it up to the computer and it was an easy and quick sync/set up. We already got a taste of the OS4 earlier this week and it's pretty cool to be able to file away all of my apps and have easier access to my inboxes. I can't wait to take video and try out the voice control feature though. I'll have to give a better update when I'm able to get home and really play with it a little more. We'll see what Troy says about it too when he gets a chance to sync his.

I have and still find that funny as hell and would have posted it if I had found it. There is a segment of the Apple user base that takes itself way too seriously. I work with one of them, he is an Apple fanboi to the extreme. I am still torn between buying the iPhone 4 or waiting to see what the Dell Thunder looks like and if it gets subsidized or to see if AT&T releases any Android phone they haven't Verizoned to death.

You've always been fair with what you write, I'm talking more about those that do nothing at all except bash Apple and then come to find out they've never touched one. Hell, I have an Android Phone, Windows desktop, MacBook Pro running Windows and Mac, and an iPad on the way, iPod Touch and iPod. I enjoy all technology if it does the job it's supposed to do and don't go out of the way to bash any one platform (again, not referring to you specifically on that point).

I love it. Been using ios 4.0 since monday so there is not much surprise there. Still trying to get used to the multitasking/quick switching instead of exiting every time with the home key!

As far as the new 4, it's awesome. Screen is insane! very very well built. extremely thin yet still has some heft too it. I'm glad they flattened it out! Camera flash is insane! I still have the protective sleeves on until my bumper and clear skins come in so I can't get anything to post yet, but here are some links

Yea I agree that's the con Apple is in bed with ATT network(LOL). Apple 4 look's great on paper Hopefully Apple expands there product line beyond Att Think outside the box (hint).

I've played with an iTouch and Macbook or macbook or pro...whatever the ex had at the time. Anyway, the iTouch is a nice device, it really is. I'd probably have one if I had a use for it...but I don't.

I'll admit that I haven't played with a mac computer much. Frankly, I see no reason to...you can get a PC with the same specs for WAY cheaper. And if you want to run an OS that virtually nobody else does and feel elite about it, throw linux on. It's free and works pretty damn well.

I think Apple went way beyond the competition when it came out a wile back this phone just expands where the 3gs didn't cut it. You have to ask yourself what made the Iphone different vs say a window's mobile phone? In my opinion Iphones easy use and Applications made the Iphone a very successful product with a few limitations people can point out. I know a few of you guy's will break out the spec's and find fault but overall the Iphone has been rated the Top Pda phone for a wile. Troy because I know your a die hard Iphone fan what are your thought's and opinions on The New Iphone4? Any features on the new Iphone that your missing from the 3gs or any additional comments on the Net speed and downloading attachment's.

When video phone/chat became possible with phones and PC's, I was trying to think where it might be useful. Now that it is possible with the iPhone, I still can't think of a decent use for it. I *can* see needing to take a pic of an item to send a significant other for an opinion, but I just don't see how the video thing is an improvement over a phone call. I bought my daughter a camera for her laptop so she could do the video chat thing. After about the 3rd time, she doesn't use it anymore. I'm all for improvements in technology, I just don't see the use of a "video chat". Just my uneducated opinion.

It's all about the OS with the iphone. android is going to be better for a geek who likes total control. most people don't need or want total control, they swant things to be simple and work well. Just an example. on a windows mobile phone, you are of course gonna have your camera set to take the best possible pics right? now snap a pic and try to MMS it. Guess what? it's too large to send. you have to go into settings and change the camera to take MMS pics, re-take the picture then re-send it! then go back into setting and change back to full size pics! with the iphone, you take a pic and send it and it does everything on it's own. It's all about the OS and nothing can touch it right now!

i make fun of apple. i have an iphone (didnt buy it) 1 or whatever you call it. its pretty cool. i wouldnt buy one but using it is pretty cool. this new one doesnt do anything for me that my current one wouldnt do so i dont see the point but apparently either they get a lot better every time, the people who buy them are sheep or steve jobs is pulling off the biggest sham in history. idk cuz i use mine to make phone calls and occasionally search the web for phone numbers or addresses and check email occasionally. the camera is nice too but again i dont know what the new can do that mine cant:lol:

I musta got lucky because mine has no yellow spot and no signal decrease when holding it with my left hand. In fact my bars go UP when I hold it the same way as in the video! everything has a +/- 5% failure rating not just apple. The evo had separating screens, no wifi reception and a 4 hour battery! So what. You're only going to head about the issues not the good news. My old 1000rr was famous for burning a quart of oil every 1000 miles...mine never burned a drop!

the pictures do like nicer with the new phone but i suspect the digital camera i already have takes better pictures still. i understand that a new phone would afford me the luxury of being able to take better pictures than now should i choose to leave the camera at home or forget it and while i know you enjoy photography, i do very little of it. so yeah for me it doesnt do anything better. perhaps once my son is born i will take more photos.

Ok my Iphone4 arrives July 14th 2010 so I got lazy and purchased from Apple.com . I know Troy is thinking dam for a guy who hates Att soo much why go back (Lol). Well in Reality a few of guy's mentioned Life isn't always greener on the other side so I figured I stay with Att for my 10th year as a repeat customer. They did Grandfather me in the Unlimited Data package after I asked for it before I made the purchased but mentioned when I receive the phone to call Customer Service to insure it's on there and Pending notes were made into my account.Where do I buy a case for this phone I need to buy that before I receive the Phone?

No cases available now except the apple bumper. No screen protectors except zagg and the suck. Most stuff won't be out for a couple of weeks

4.0 ios fixed my 3g right up, I still like the way a original iphone feels, that case is the best one, the 3g plastic is crap, mine is cracked, I have not tried a new 4 yet

Edit: After a quick search ifrogz has one style out, and Spec has several coming to AT&T retail stores.

Core reason why I asked about the Data changes was because I was aware Att discontinued the "Unlimited use" when some made it clear it wasn't Unlimited anyways( read the fine print ). you should have had the option listed to 'keep existing data plan'. I did for data but not for my 10 year old 1000 minute plan for $32. When I ordered though att premier I simply added a new voice plan then removed it when I got to the cart. When ordering though apple they query your account info through att and should have been able to simply leave everything as is. When I tried to order through apple on the 15th they pulled up my info just fine but it kept timing out after that point so I went through premier.

also the unlimited iphone data plan is truly unlimited. The only data plans with a soft cap on att are the tethering plans and the new tiered data plans

Yep although I was playing with tethering on my 3gs running the new os and it looks like they'll make you get one of the new plans to do tethering. Haven't bothered to see if a hack is out for that yet, probably is. Had tethering with the old os.

no tethering hack out yet and to get LEGAL tethering requires the pro data plan with the 2 gig cap and causes you to loose the unlimited plan

2 gig isn't a big deal. I read somewhere in their info that you can add another gig for $10 more a month if you really need more data.

Well, it KINDA is when you were only paying $30 for Ulimited (which really was 5GB), and now to get the same amount it's $25+10+10+10 = 55 + the cost of the tethering...

Not that I really care. I use my Sprint Overdrive module for the data on the phone, IPad and macbook, and it's faster and Truly unlimited on 4G/ 5GB on 3G. And it's not on AT&T's crappy overloaded network!

None of that has anything to do with what I said, I said 2 gig isn't a big deal - and it isn't for probably 99% of the users. Even the most hardcore users I know don't hit 1gb a month. I didn't hit that even tethering.
