Apparently, after hearing about the iPhone 4 antenna problem, here’s what Steve Jobs told a poor soul who emailed him detailing the problem: “It’s not a big issue.” He also told another one: “Just avoid holding it in that way.”

well, in a way for most people it really won't be a problem once you put a case on it.
but how they didn't see this during testing or attempt to fix it is beyond me.
and jobs telling someone to hold it in a different way is just a shitty response.

Can you blame him? Even if the iPhone were proven to give you acne and B.O., apple would still sell a ton of them. Bad reception didn't kill the sales of the 2G, 3G or 3GS, so from their standpoint its not a problem (because no one buying the phone cares in the end).

yea mine still does not have this issue. I have tried everything to duplicate it and can't. Even using the key method posted on you tube. I did just get off the phone with apple tech support and they acknowledge it's an issue and the engineers are working on it. They also sent me out a free bumper to tide me over until a resolution is reached.

As long as it looks cool right?

As has been shown on numbers websites, the iPhone is NOT the only phone that has this sort of issue. Your body produces a natural electric field, and sometimes touching an antenna can change the behavior of it (or even getting close to one).. Remember back in the old days when your dad made you stand and hold the rabbit ears on the tv so the picture would improve when watching the game?? Same thing..
Just put a damn case on it and forget about it. Anyone stupid enough to use a smartphone without a case is just asking for trouble given all that glass that is easily broken in a drop.
And the yellow spot on the screen issue is just the adhesive used in the manufacturing process that hasn't fully dried yet. Most have said that after using the iPhone for a few hours the discoloration is pretty much gone....

man you're slow, saw that yesterday
motorcycle sites or so slow to catch up to phone sites!
still no reception issues or lost bars with mine and I have tried to duplicate every youtube video!
it's vastly over hyped at this point and seems to be a small % even though apple acknowledges it and has a fix in the works and even sent me a free bumper even though I have no issues!
heres a pic for ya...MP means nothing!

Okay seriously, I absolutely love Jobs answer  It's the perfect simple answer with no bullshit. I understand how it can happen and it's not that hard to just hold it differently if it's one move that is causing it. I'll take the better antenna with one flaw over a lesser antenna. Not even close to a deal breaker for me.

Same reason I like my iPhone, does everything I need and a bunch of stuff I don't but is still useful. Amazing how far things have come from bag phones...
