So Im doing the valve check, TPS adjustment, and TBS on the Strom and misplace ( with some help from the dog I think ) the radiator cap. Now here is my problem. No dealer I called, and I called anyone in GA that was open today had one. This one cap fits pretty much every-****in-thing Suzuki has made in the last 20 years... and noone stocks it. I would have gladly paid double list to be able to walk in and pick one up, but I am not paying for someone to order a part...

Yeah, there are lots of parts that dealers don't normally stock. I can't really blame them because the manufacturers are in the habit of tweaking the design every 2-3 years in a way that it would be a full time job keeping track of all the changes (or lack thereof) across the different years, models and makes.

Hell, there is a Yamaha warehouse in the metro area and it still takes 2-3 days for parts to get in

I think I have a spare Suzuki radiator cap in my garage. If it fits the same as the SV650. Let me check.

BTW, I pulled a bone head move one time and left the house on a trip and somehow forgot the radiator cap. I realized it when I got caught in traffic and started smelling it. I found one that fit at an automotive store. It worked for the trip and replaced it with the actual one when I got back home.

Well I had a cap! LOL. You can have it if I can find it. Let me keep looking. I know that thing is somewhere where I put spare parts, but can never remember when I need them! haha.

Sorry, no luck Tony. :( I'll find it when I'm not looking for it! hehe.

It's still amazing that a parts dept doesn't keep a common part like this in stock since it fits so many different bikes.

Thanks Mark, worked perfectly. Good to see you and your shop... and the old RM brought back some memories.
