When do you suppose the time of arrival back will happen? I have never been to the gap, I have only been as far as Natahala.

the ride up there is about 4h15m then we will prob chill out for a little get a bite to eat and then do the gap and play by ear.. it will defenitly be a whole day thing.. maybe 7 or so could be earlier.. and when we get up there we will play it by ear who wants to head back and all that .. but we are reallying trying to do a whole days worth of riding.

From your perspective how many are down so far to go? Varying amounts of riders will differentiate time as well.

Glad you had a great trip! We went there on the 2nd and had a great ride too. Someone went down on Hell bender right before we got there. Other then road rashes, the rider was fine. We ran into the guy at the tree of shame. He told me that the tree needed more decorations.

HAHA well to be honest the whole group almost contributed to the tree.. haha.. we ran it 3 times and 2 of the gals that road with us got tickets and they where be hind my friend and i.. and we where going faster than them.. so i kinda feel guilty about that.. but they are actually exited about the tickets.. haha.. im just glad everyone made it home safe.. the only accedent we see was on "The C.Skyway" and it was a mustang that hit the side of the mountain..yall take care and maybe see ya guys and gals on the next trip..

How fast were you guys going:D we saw a total of 6 GSP. I think the tree of shame looks just fine the way it is, I don't need to contribute to it:crackup:

My buddy and i went past the cop going about 55 or so in a 35 and then gals came up wanting to catch up and they cop got them at 45 in a 35.. we went down the mtn to wait on them and we got worried bc we all been dragging pegs all day and had some close calls couple times.. so we went back up and they where next to the cop car.. tell you what a releave that was.. it was an amazing ride though.. and there was hardly anyone up there..

Oh definatly.. Jessica said after she got the ticket that she feel like she got a trophy but the other girl was all pissy about it.. lol..

who knows...it may be a blessing in disguise that the girls got a ticket. If they were pushing to catch up with you guys, they may have gotten themselves into trouble. Some of those corners are tight and you have cars that seems to like the lane that we're in more. I had a truck come over in my lane... so glad that I hugged the white line or I would of been saying "hello" to a truck.

Oh definatly.. i believe that things happen for a reason.. and when i hit the mountains.. i try to stay high and when i see the exit i will cut in low.. or atleast try to most of the time.. how do you like the 650r?

I love my bike, it's perfect for me. Hey...killboy has posted pictures from my ride on the 2nd. I'm the one with a white and bright pink jacket on. I was surprise to see him sitting in the corner coming down the hill...but the pictures looks great. I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like...there's 14 pictures of me:D I'll have to look for you guys on the 3rd. What were some of the bikes in your group??

That's funny!!! I tried to take a picture while riding my bike...welll...the camera didn't make home with me:crackup: I've met killboy himself last summer and he does a great job taking pictures. Yes, I'm on face book. Look up Tonna, you'll see me sitting next to my bike.

did you have another bike before this one.. the reason i ask is i am wanting to get my Gf a bike sometime.. but i dont want to get her a super bike.. just something comfertable and maybe easy to learn on.. i was thinking ninja 250 also.. but considering the 650 as well

The 650R is my first bike and it was very easy to learn on. I had a thousand miles on my bike before Brian took me up to the mountains and well...the rest is history. I love it up there and the bike handles so well. I have no problem keeping up with him. Does she know how to ride one??

no she dont.. i was thinking about getting her a scooter or a dirt bike to learn on and then a little later after she get the hang of it get a bike.. she is really small built though.. maybe 5'4 100lbs.. so we will still ahve to see.. i really dont want anything to happen to her..lol
