after years of riding and many tires laid to waste, my all time favorite street tire is the Pirelli DCIII. a friend suggested that if i like the DCIIIs that i will find the Rossos to be amazing. just wondering if i could get some feedback from anyone who has ridden both.

thanks in advance

Rode both and dislike both. You need to qualify the answers to engine/power. They both felt greasy to me, but that was on a 165hp Vtwin.
The Rosso was a lot better then the DC III's.

Michelin is what I like the best. Lots of grip, slow fall off. I run Power Races/Ones, Powers, and 2ct's. The Power Pures are great tires too, lighter wieght tire, but better for 4 cylinder/street bikes. Mileage wise I get the same out of Michelins vs P Rosso's around 2500, but the Mich's seem a lot more consistant. I'm trying Dunlop Q2's tomorrow, so we'll see how they work.
When it comes down to it, Im hard on tires, high torque, hard riding, however I dont stunt, and I always check and know my psi's.

Please make sure you let us know your thoughts on the Q2's. Thanks.

I've ridden on both and have the Rosso on presently. I tried the Rosso before the DCIII tire and love the Rosso; warm up time is very quick from my experience compared to the Bridgestones that came with the gixxer K5. Traction for me was great in the dry and wet too, but I don't lean hard at all on the wet pavement. So take that for what's its worth. The tread life is not that great and that was the reason I went to the DCIII.

IMO the DCIII has the same quick warm up time. I love the tread wear on this tire and because of the dual compound the traction is very comparable to the Rosso but they're not as soft. They still handle and stick well for me. The DCIII and the Rosso are very responsive and the turn-in with both tires are great. I've never tried the PPs but from what I read it takes getting use to the fall in or dropping feeling the tires give because of their triangular shape...maybe one day just to compare.

Pirelli is it for me and now that the DRC (Diable Rosso Corsa) are out to replace the DCIII, I will try those next once the price goes down.

The Dunlop Q2's seem to be good, very consistant to the edge of the tire. Wear seemed to be pretty slow too. The new tire technology is so good its hard to go wrong with any of the new
sportbike tires. Just depends on price vs life vs riding style/use.

Oppie from MM was telling me that the Q2's are supposted to be the next best thing next to sliced bread. I'm glad to hear that they perform pretty good, especially the tread life.
