I am trying to replace my engine cover on the left side.

- I removed all the screws holding it in place but it will not come out.
It's like it's stuck. I tried knocking it with a rubber hammer but still nothing.

Any advice on what to do?

hit it harder. Big ass magnet under there. Be careful when replacing, it'll smash the hell out of your finger(s).

Might to get some thing and gently pry it apart.

If its OEM and has not been removed then it will be on there pretty tight. Rubber mallet to the side of it and get something to wedge in when it starts to move.

a lot of bikes have a metal sleeve or two that go through the bolt holes. It makes it so the covers have to be pulled straight off, and they sometimes cause things to get stuck.

so i finally got the cover off with a good hit with the rubber hammer. I didnt have the bike on a stand since i dont own one and i got surprised with some oil.... wen all that was taken care of I realized that there is a magnet on the cover as well as on the bike itself as NiceGuysFinishLast said but I could not get those screws off of the cover to save my life. I ended up just replacing the gasket and putting the old cover on there.

Anyone of you guys replaced this yourself and if so how did u get those screws off?
