Went out to TR this weekend and they got rid of their trails for good. The guy said that they will be building a 2.5 mile motocross track.

The track sounds cool. The trails sucked pretty much anyway as they were never maintained and pretty steep.....too steep for my wife which meant I didnt get to ride them.

Generally that facility has been less than ideal for a long time. I suspect the heat only made the experience worse. Hopefully the new track will be nice and I can try i out this fall once it cools off.

It could be great *IF* they keep the track prepped on a regular basis. The longer the track, the harder, more labor intensive, the more costly it takes to maintain a track. That's Highland Park's GP tracks biggest downfall. Go to Bremen on a designated practice night and you're riding on "crumpled up brownies". It makes destroying a berm soooo much fun with a high horsepower bike. AMP MX in Alabama also has very good dirt that stays nice most all day long.
