Nice talk. Interesting info. I certainly prefer working on the things that just inherently interest and challenge me. I work much harder and more effectively on those things. But day in and day out, I have to work on the things that my customers offer to pay me to do which, unfortunately, are often not very challenging or interesting but rather just routine application of my experience and knowledge to the same problem I solved last week for somebody else.

But it is an interesting bit of information about performance and rewards.
