I have a 2005 ZX6R with 13,800 miles on it, which has had no problems until recently. I went on a long ride with 2 other members on here and it went great until I was turning into the Best Buy plaza off of Market Place Blvd in Cumming. I pulled in the clutch as I was coming to a stop and the bike died (kind of like it stalled out). I turned the key to off, then back to on, tried starting it and nothing. The bike tried turning over, but it was like it wasn't getting any fuel, or there was no electricity going to the plugs, so I pushed the bike out of the road into the plaza and waited about 30-45 minutes for the bike to cooldown. I went out side and it fired right up, so I was able to ride it home. This same thing happened again except after only a 25 miles ride (in th 95 F heat). This time I just had it towed since I didn't want to risk it dieing on the high way. In between these two ride I did ride blood mountain with a friend with no problems at all. The bike is at MarMo right now and I am at the point where I don't trust it to ride home :(

Keep us posted. Odds are MarMo is going to scratch their head at it just as much as you are. When you dropped it off was it running or not? Rarely do I see/hear about bikes that wont run due to temperature and keep in mind that your bike doesnt care how far it goes at any given time. We had a cruiser in the shop for the same reason. Owner would ride it to Atlanta and it would die on the freeway every time after 15 or 20 miles. I told him the same thing, your bike doesnt care where it goes or how far away it is, its simply a coincidence. I was unable to duplicate the issue after 2 weeks. He replaced his spark plugs and hasnt had the problem, to my knowledge, since. When it comes to engine issues distance is irrelevant.
