Ride with a Newbie?

Hey everyone...i am a newbie, just got a bike and helmet this weekend (05 ninja 250) i dont know anyone in the lawrenceville/ grayson/ snellville / duluth area that rides. is anyone willing to "take me under their wing" so to speak and help me learn? YES i have taken a riding class and have a permit!

Just remember this: if you think you're going into a turn too fast, don't brake hard - don't brake at all. Always look way ahead, not directly in front of where you're going, lean more and you'll make the turn.

Welcome to the site.

On almost every weekend at the end of GA-400 there are groups leaving at 9am and 10am from either the shell and/or chevron. Ride your pace, someone will wait if needed at the turns.

I like going up 985 to 54 to 129 myself-that's the way we're leaving tomorrow at 0600.

Thanks for the info @ Ga Bandit...im not ready to hit the highway just yet..i did my first street ride yesterday and only made it to 4th gear..maybe in a few weeks i will be a bit more comfy and will hit the highway with everyone... thanks for thinking of me tho..

Tomorrow I am doing family chores, however, I am wide open Wednesday. I should have posted up originally that Tuesday and Thursday this week I will be busy with family chores. Would Wednesday work for you?

Hey Dizzle, today and tomorrow night I can ride street, the loop or other interesting spots. For the dirt again today and Friday, of course night riding in the dirt would be interesting too. Places for dirt riding, FS roads near Suches, a short hop through Dawson and just about any other area, perhaps Whizzy. Let me know your plans, take care.

i heard there was a bike nite at wild bills tonight. i need more seat time, i was thinking about heading over there. but i dont have my MC, so i gotta leave before it gets dark like a 16 year old kid... lol
