May Day at Union Square was a stunning sight as thousands poured into the park to send a resounding message of repudiation against the recently passed SB1071 law in Arizona. They demanded legalization for the undocumented as well as jobs, housing, education and social services for all.Good for them. Since they're so strongly committed to this action they won't mind paying for it.

I always wondered how people made the jump from having the same right as anyone else to apply for a job to having the right to employment no matter what. Don't get me wrong, a job for everyone and everyone for a job is an awesome idea on paper; it's the reality of having humans in the equation that makes it nonviable as a solution.
