the SigO rides a cbr600rr and is looking for a comfortable pair of leather boots for daily riding and taking the twisties...she tried on the A* mx5's and they were too tight across the top of her foot...

so, my female friends...have any suggestions for her?

Have her go see the folks at She-Rides (http://www.she-rides.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=S)

Wifey wears the A* S MX-2 and loves them. They are short MX-5. They have the advantage of an over the top of the foot buckle that is adjustable. Being a short boot they do not offer the protection of the MX-5 but they are so easy to get on and off, so she wears them every ride.

After Sarah's great review of the Dayton Lady Star boots (have to see if Raul can get that back) I've been pushing Rachelle to consider a pair of those as they offer some height assistance in addition to what looks to be a great all around boot.

we went to she-rides and, alas, was seriously unimpressed with what they had...not just boots, but in general :-(

given the number of female sportbike riders in the atl/ga area, i wish i had the money to start a shop...

in the end, we went to the cyclegear in lawerenceville and she tried on, loved and bought the a* ridge

thanks for your input!

Glad she found some boots!! I had the same problem with the MX5's, so I bought the men's A* Web Goretex boots. They are waterproof and are VERY comfortable on longer rides.
