I'm having a bowl of rice krispies and I'm wondering. How is it they make the snap crackle pop sounds?

Rice Krispies (known as Rice Bubbles in Australia and New Zealand) is a breakfast cereal that was created by Eugene McKay for the Kellogg company, and later marketed by Kellogg's in 1927 and released to the public in 1928. Rice Krispies are made of crisped rice (rice grains that are cooked, dried and toasted), and expand forming very thin and hollowed out walls that are crunchy and crispy. When the cereal is exposed to milk or juices, the walls tend to collapse suddenly, creating the famous "Snap, crackle and pop" sounds. Rice Krispies cereal is widely known and popular with a long advertising history, with the cartoon characters Snap, Crackle, and Pop touting the brand. In 1963, The Rolling Stones recorded a short song for a Rice Krispies television advertisement.[1] Rice Krispies are also an important ingredient in Rice Krispie bars and squares made by combining the cereal with melted marshmallows.

Peaches are also good in your cereal.

I've gotten where I will eat egg white omelets for breakfast instead of cereal. All of the carbs in cereal will make ur blood sugar going up and back down. Typically you will get hungrier faster than with eating protein. This months Men Health magazine stated that if protein is eaten for breakfast instead of carbs a person will usually consume 300 less calories thought out the day.

I wish I could cook in the mornings. I have my cereal at work and a half gallon of milk in the fridge.

You don't have to cook to have a protein breakfast in the am. You can have boiled eggs in the fridge that are pre-cooked, and if you want to have something carby like cereal, your best bet is oatmeal (not the little packs with a bunch of added sugar in them). It's complex carbs and will not give you the blood sugar thing noted by Mortalis. Because it's a complex carb, it takes your body longer to break it down thereby not giving you the sugar rollercoaster that makes you eat more when it crashes.

I keep a big tube of it at my desk. I like to add a little peanut butter to mine to add a bit of protein. Also if you have crunchy peanut butter, it gives your oatmeal a little texture, which I like. Most offices have hot water around.
