+/- 7k on the clock. Transferable Yamaha Extended Service warranty (unlimited mileage and valid until 3/12 I think). Bike is in perfect condition. Completely stock other than a fender eliminator (includes the factory fender).

I bought it last year from DuckyR1 (former GSB/BSB member who moved up north) and the bike is in as-new condition. Never down.

I really like the bike, but I've got my eye on something else and need to get rid of one toy in order to buy the new one.

$6000.

2006 Yamaha R1. In as-new condition. Completely stock other than a fender eliminator tag bracket though I do have the original stock fender and tag holder. 7,000 miles. Recent Dunlop Qualifiers.

I am 2nd Adult owner (I am 39, long time rider with multiple bikes, original owner was a +/- 37 year old friend). Never stunted, never dropped, never tracked. Has the Yamaha Extended Service warranty contract valid until 3/2012 that is super easy and cost free to transfer.

The bike is always garaged and stored under a cover (and on a battery tender). The pictures below were taken "as it sits" in March after having not been ridden since November. I did not even wipe the dust off of it.

I hate to sell the bike, but I want to free up some play money to buy another toy.

$6000. Bike is in Atlanta. Can deliver between Atlanta and Gainesville FL. Possible assistance in other directions as well, but I make that trip at least once a month.

$5500?

I think I am priced right. I debated putting a few hundred in the number but in the end decided to just put it out for "my number". In a few weeks if it has not moved, I'll get down there. I don't want to sell it and as such am likely to be a little stubborn on my price, but the cash will make the new purchase easier.

A "can't say no" deal on a race car (AI Mustang) has come up. I am set to buy the car the first week of April as it is out of town and will require a little logistics.

Tal, who to? anyone here? Did Muff jump on it?

DAMN that is a good looking ride. If i ever get the opportunity to put a 1000 on the track, the R1 is the bike i wanna do it with.

I sold it (again, it is pending pickup but I typically have a good read for these situations. Of course, I have surely jinxed myself now) to a nice guy from just north of Birmingham who saw it on CL. I had it listed for $6,600 there with the intention of selling it for the $6,000 I had it listed here for. I am glad he committed to buy it. The more I looked at this picture:

The less I wanted to sell. However, it is moving on to make room for:

So I won't feel too bad for long.

Bike is gone to it's new home. Buyer could not have been happier, I could not have been sadder to see it go (regardless of what I said above). For pricing purposes if someone searches into this thread, it sold for $6k and I could probably have sold 5 more at that price.
