So I finally got my stubby SuperTrapp installed on the SV last night, after having to get an adapter made and welded.. it's a little at an odd angle to me, might have to bend it back in.. I dunno.. what do yall think? It feels and sounds great, and I havent had a chance to tune it at all yet..

If I understand the website correctly, the exhaust flows around the outside of those discs.

Ah, now I gotta do some research, I have never heard of or seen this before. Guess I'll learn something today.

Oh... sexy. I like it. You should pull it back in line with the bike a little more IMHO, but otherwise it's bang on.

Haven't seen a supertrap on something since my buddies `78 XL500...

That would be correct. You can tune the exhaust based on how many discs are installed. I currently have 8 in there and havent had any time to play around with other settings. More discs = higher powerband, higher noise output, and the bike will run leaner.. less = more torque, quieter, and run richer. Apparently 24 discs is the equivalent of a straight pipe
I am thinking that pulling it in and down a little (10deg perhaps) will look better, just not sure how easy it will be to do with so little space.. hafta see what the muffler guys can do. I definitely dont want to add any more length to it..

Or figure out a way to mount it completely under the bike. Its sticking out a good bit from the center line of the bike.

So I finally got her in to make the necessary modifications. Not fully complete yet as I must grind the welds ad polish the whole pipe.. But the change is definitely for the better.

Yeah that looks much better!
looks a lot better. SuperTrapp makes a great exhaust and have been around forever. Used to have one on my 750 and 900 Seca.

Looks great, it'd be nice if you could get rid of that exhaust hanger bracket on your passenger peg.

I have a Super Trapp on the klr 650 and love the sound. When I take off the pipe sings a great tune. Great choice on pipes, I have never seen them on a sport bike before. If you can get some video together it would be nice to hear that pipe.

Looks great! Kudos on the hand guards too... nice looking SV. I miss mine sometimes (it died before it's time thanks to some negligent motorist pulling out in front of me).

Handguards are off a vstrom, and for the sv perfectly after drilling the spacer at the end of the bars out for the bar end mirror bolt..
They make a HUGE difference on the cold mornings, especially on the highway.. Now only my knees get cold hehe
