wow that dirt looked fun, I wish this was a pay to ride place

I love digital cameras

I took 600+ pics today, most were either blurry or not worth posting, I did post 50 of them to my website. I learned that I suck at panning, I was totally guessing what to use for settings, I guessed wrong I think, most were blurry or the rider was in focus but the bikes were not, too high of aperture I guess

this is about the best I could do for panning shots

Nice, I was supposed to race the quad race yesterday. But I did not have a quad ready for it.

As for "paying to ride"... they have a beginner class. That would have got you in. About a $70 day to play. If you are an AMA member that is, otherwise it's another $39.

I still can't believe I missed the GNCC this year. Ughh, another year to wait. Thank goodness the SORCS is about to kick off. Hopefully I can get my crap together for that.

that's a hell of a lot of money for 1 day of riding, I've done sorcs on my bike, was a lot of fun, I kinda want to get an atv to do sorcs on one, I think that would be more fun for me than the bike.

AHRMA used to race there a lot for moto and cross country... A lot of the cross-country route they race on is the GNCC stuff.
It was always one of my favorite races to goto.

Probably run you only $30 or so...

Well then, why not bring your kids to the Family Fun Ride at the very same place?

not sure I would enjoy that, so many people on one trail, is it crowded? It always hits a weekend where we are not able to go, or we go with a group somewhere else

it's too bad they dont let people pay to ride there

I thought they offered a pay-per-day to ride. I'm pretty sure they used to. Next time I talk to the owner, I'll post the info up here.

Last year we had 130 registered riders. Had about 30 kids who spent most of the day riding on the peewee grass track and peewee trail. This left the other 100 to ride the 12 miles of trail. There were always some eating, resting or hanging out in the parking area. In any case, 100 riders on 12 miles of trail is one rider for every 634 feet of trail. Is that crowded? I can't even see that guy 600 feet ahead of me.

The MX track is open every day. They did let people pay to ride trails there in the past. The trails got too beat out, so they stopped it. Now the trails are better for the special events like the Family Fun Ride. I'm going out there 3/13 to lay out and ribbon the trail we will be using.

Ride sparsely populated, seldom used trail, at a family oriented event, free lunch included, maybe win a new Yamaha generator, make a tax deductible donation to help sick, homeless kids.

Why not bring the group to the Family Fun Ride?

The reason they don't open the trails is because they have a deal with GNCC. SETRA and SORCS are allowed to race it, but they don't even touch the same piece of the property as GNCC.

I raced the GNCC a few weeks ago and Ive raced there with SORCS. When I ran the GNCC, I didn't recognize a single foot of familiar trail!!!
