The lady is ok she has a hurt hip,neck,knee , but no road rash as she had her gear on. helmet had slight scratches , and bike well it was messed up badly .

I agree man , these riders are getting more careless by the min .

ya, i enjoy going fast and enjoying the mountains. its def. not a race track up there, and some people just dont get it. even a lot of those local boys up at deals are pretty nuts.
i just got fed up dealing with all te B.S. from cars, cops, random road conditions, to other bikers. Not saying all cars, cops other riders are bad, just that when you get the ones that are, its just a turn off.

glad the lady is ok. sounds pretty banged up though. how did they run her off? then they just fled the scene? man, glad i wasnt up there. we would have been fist pumping some faces.

i avoid TotD like the plague...went twice and will likely never go back...sooooooo many riders up there that shouldnt own a bike, let alone be riding roads like that. all balls and no skill is a recipe for disaster. for my money, the cheohala skyway (which is right out of robbisnville too) is a far better place to ride with sooo much less calamari...great big beautiful sweepers...just an awesome stretch of road and i go up there all the time glad the injured rider is ok...bikes can be replaced, people cant

The Skyway is one of my favs! But I'm with wicked, I avoid the Dragon at all cost. Too many retards on the road with 0 skill! Hell when the crew used to run all those roads we would come in at the resort there, have a drink, bs and then not even run it. Just pointless with all the other great roads up there.

Yep. You guys used to all look at me funny when I lead you there and then say I wont ride it but I guess it was pretty clear after a run or two. That road is fun at about 2 times of the day/ week. Almost any weekday you are ok. On the weekends from sunrise until about 8-830 or from about 630-7 until dark. Outside of that PHUCK THAT ROAD! The people on it are idiots.

I thought cage drivers are idiots but now I see some true colors in riders. This is what gets people killed in the Mtn's it's not a dayum race track idiots .Not saying this because I am slow , as I am far from slow in the mtns , but some assphat ran us down and forced a lady rider off the road with this stupid crap . Better be lucky we never found you two , you two would been in the hospital .

I was there this last weekend and pulled over on the curve pull out to let someone pass me once only because the guys I was riding with were too slow and I didn't want them mixed in the loop. Any ideal on the bikes in question?
Both my friends rode a yamaha r6 and a buell blast

Dragon's Tail is pretty much just a place to go chill with or meet and greet other riders and look at other bikes. Nice roads but as someone previously stated, a couple of hours in the morning and in the evening (during the week) are the only times the road is clear enough to enjoy.

It's too busy during the day, and the cops love to make impromptu appearances on the weekends. :-)

I'm looking fw to going up there soon but with the intention of just enjoying the road, sight seeing, and maybe ..just maybe, having a little fun on the skyway. That's where the real fun is at.

Oh, watching the squid cruiser couples dump their shit pulling out of the resort is always fun too.
As well as seeing the broken dreams of idiots being loaded into the back of their trucks.

Oh did somone on here say something (LOL) typing from a cell phone is indeed fun esp when it predicts what It intreprates is correct and it's not. I guess the iphone isn't all the bright or we could pass the blame on user error like the reception issues (LOL)..

there's only one corner that has a serious decreasing radius...thank god my riding buddy has ridden up there a million times and told me about it before i hit it at speed...

Coming back from Nashville today in my cage and decided to drive HWY136 all the way from Interstate 59 in Trenton, GA to Dawsonville. Pretty nice road, gotta go back on the bike.

I was target fixated on the girl in front of me who was running off the road. I think I'd have made the turn if she hadn't blown it. She pulled it out at the last second, by the time I realized she was safe... I wasn't. But hey, that's where wisdom comes from, right? :lol: :lol:

so, i ride the gap, skyway all of 28 allot in the last year. What I find is that the weekends are for shit. dont waste your time! mid week is the bomb. make a few runs thru the gap and no problem. the best time is late novemeber eraly dec. once all the leaves are off u can see all the turns and no one goes there. last year I used a whole tank just going back and forth and swear i had seen mabet a hand full of others and not one cop. next, the skyway has had more deaths this year due to the closing of the Dragon. more ppl now ride the skyway and we all know what happens with more balls then skill. i see some of the posts with decreasing turns etc. no joke there either, very easy to get yourself going a bit faster then u should. pic the right time and its always better. plus for the dudes that ran the folks off the road. thats messed up. i would butt this size 12 boot in someones #$#@ if they pulled that crap...
