Hey guys, I'm found and am about to buy an '09 model bike with ridiculously low miles. I mean the motor has a few hundred miles over break in.

The seller admitted that he has done a "single" track day on it.

Now I'm worried that this bike was used on the track more than once with the cluster disconnected. I thought the miles were stored on a chip. I'm pissed that I can't remember and I really want to buy this bike but I'm really concerned it may be a con.
I hate being so distrustful of people but I've seen some shystie things in the sportbike community.

Any advice is most welcome.

Thanks.

Miles are stored in the gauge cluster. only way to not show them is to disconnect the cluster or the speedo sensor. Seems like a lot to do to fool someone on miles. For an 09' model year bike I wouldnt be shocked at all to see under 1000 miles. I have only put on 1300 miles on the R1 since May.
