Chapter 1

About 9 months ago I was introduced to a character named Dwayne McCracken. He was introduced by a mutual friend and was representing AMA racer Taylor Knapp as well as national motorcycle company FMF. At this time Dwayne was in possession of a box truck belonging to FMF for event purposes. Dwayne was a real nice guy and his credibility seemed to check out. Over the next 2 months Dwayne and his wife Cheryl came by the shop frequently seeking advice on opening a motorcycle shop in the area as well as starting a race team with their golden boy Taylor Knapp as the star racer. We discussed a working relationship that could benefit both parties. As time went on with Dwayne I became more serious about my overall shop expansion while Dwayne steered clear of talks regarding money and investments. According to McCracken, his ties in the motorcycle racing world would assist him with all his needs to open a shop including a dyno, tire changer, and full merchandise line. I became more leary of striking a business deal with him. During this time I had placed orders through him as an actual FMF dealer as he presented. After 4 weeks of runaround with him waiting on parts to be delivered i wanted my refund and was done with his runaround bullshit. Dwayne dodged phone calls and appearances and only communicated via text messages. At this time 2 months had passed and I found out that he was opening a bike shop 2 miles down the road from my shop with a new business partner. I got the address and payed the shop a visit. Dwayne was inside and the shop was under construction. I casually asked him what he was doing there and he said "trying to open a bike shop!" . He said he would have my money he owed me that day and that he had to go to the bank. I left it at that.

The weekend passes and no contact from dwayne happens. Being the nice guy that I am I had built a website for moto edge performance pro bono in our earlier meetings and workings together. I decided that it was time to shut it down and forwarded the domain to redirect to my shop website. Within 3 hours Dwayne was at my shop with cash in hand. He collected his FMF stand, payed me my money and was gone.

Hold up. I seem to remember that shop "moto edge performance" before the board was wiped. Didnt he post on here or wasn't he going to sue you or something because you rerouted thier site traffic to your site?

Yes, Moto Edge Performance came on the board and tried to slander my shop because they were angry about their website and the fact that I called them out on their con. Now aside from Dwayne I had no other problem with the other people that worked there or were affiliated with the place.

seems like a lot of drama for a bike shop.
