give Ed's Pawn a call in McDonough. I was just there this afternoon and they had 115gr 9mm (Remington) for $100/500. they had a ton of ammo there I just haven't looked at 45 in a while...

also check with 400 jewelry and pawn they are my usual ammo source when it's hard to find.

Frank have you ever drove down to Villa Rica to Georgia Arms? Ive always liked their prices at the shows and know you can get the same deals there all the time. I don't know what you think of their ammo though. For me it goes bang and sends a ball down range. Thats about all I need.

Eds pawn should have Remington UMC 230gr for $150/500. I would call and verify as I havent bought pistol ammo in several months.

I spoke to them today. I may swing by there this weekend while I am visiting HP on the dirtbike. I dont have a problem with their ammo at all. Their prices seem to be reasonable but I just wanted to check. I found a reloader in AZ at shootmoa.com who said he would sell me 1000 rds of 230gr fmj including shipping for ~275. Predictably he is out of stock at the moment.

Called Ed's. Its $350/ 1000 rds. GA Arms can put 1000 on my doorstep for $355.

Thanks anyway.

the other difference is that GA Arms is reloaded (usually) and Ed's is new ammo. but i've never had any issues with GA arms stuff, just wanted to point that out, not that it makes a huge difference but I would get new for close to the same price but it would be a bit of a drive.

I am aware of that difference but thanks for pointing it out. Reloads dont bother me. I bought a couple thousand rounds of new .223 PMC ammo and after only going through about 25% of it I have had 3 duds. Quality reloaded ammo is just as good in my opinion.
